She Did it!

The other day Grace came home from school and announced that she was ready to get her ears pierced. She really wanted to do it on Sunday after the zoo but there wasn't enough time and Dad wasn't sold on the idea. However, when Monday rolled around Mom and Jill decided to meet up and get it done if Grace still wanted too.......

Checking out the finished product.

Posing outside the store, as you can see we scored a few other things in addition to getting Grace's ears pierced!

Going to the Zoo

We all went to the zoo today, it was a great day to be there and we had a good time. The main reason we went was to see the Farm Babies (because we don't see enough farm animals!) but while we were there we checked out the other animals as well.

Lucy getting a ride on Dad's shoulders while staying a safe distance from the hissing goose on the trail, in his defense he was just trying to protect his woman and their eggs!
Grace at the Amur Leopard exhibit.

Lucy climbing on the rocks outside the Russia Grizzly's Coast Exhibit (that Mortenson built, as neither Mom nor Dad know where their next job is now that Target Field is done, we have to put in as many plugs for Mortenson as possible!).
Walking out to the Farm with Dad.

Enjoying an ice cream treat after all the animal sightseeing and walking we did!

Lucy's Dance Pictures

Lucy had dance pictures last night. Needless to say it wasn't hard to get a smile out of her and of course she loved the makeup! I will post one of the actual dance pictures when we get them

Opening Day

Yesterday was the big day at Target Field, after 3 long years it was the home opener!! Here are some of our photos from the day as well as a link to a video that shows Dad throwing out the first pitch! We were honored to be able to go down on the field with him and here are a few photos from down there.

Dad talking to Gardy before the first pitch.....
The girls cheering for Dad on his way out to the mound.
Grace standing behind the choir for the National Anthem and F-16 flyover!
All of us down on the field before the first pitch.
Talking to Dad about the first pitch....probably giving him a few pointers.

We had a great day and thanks to all of our family and friends for all of the well wishes over the past few days as well as your support over the last three years while we built this thing! We look forward to enjoying many more games at the new ballpark with all of you!

Here is the link to the video of Dad's pitch.....

Grace in the choir

Grace sang in the kid's choir at church on Sunday, there were only 6 kids and they did an amazing job! She even sang part of a solo and when we asked her if she was nervous she laughed and said, "No Mom, why would I be nervous?" You have to love the honesty......
